Brex dashboard tips

Many dashboard pages that contain tables have a built-in search bar. If you need to find a specific entry within this table, you can start typing in its details, and our system will narrow the results down based on your query.

New for Fall

You can use the smart search bar at the top of your dashboard to:

  • Jump to a specific page or action
  • Search users, cards, budgets, and spend limits
  • Locate a specific expense based on merchant, card, user, or spend limit

Smart tables

New for Fall

We include smart tables on the Bills, Teams, Accounting, and Cards & Limits pages. Smart tables let you pin and select columns using the gear icon, resize columns, and save specific views.

Filtering

The dashboard pages that contain tables will also have a built-in filtering system, which you can apply by clicking Add filter. This will open a list of traits that you can use to filter your results, which will vary depending on the specific table. Oftentimes, choosing a type of filter will prompt you to specify its details. For example, if you choose to filter based on a certain expense amount, you’ll be asked to enter the exact dollar amount or range. Here are some specific pages that contain tables and some examples of how you can filter results in that table:

Wallet and Expenses

In your Wallet, you can filter your list of expenses based on any expense category—such as amount, card, merchant, etc.—expense status, compliance details, date, or accounting data. You can use filters the same way in Expenses. If you’re an account admin, card admin, or bookkeeper, you can also filter by individual users.

Budgets and limits

You can filter the budgets or limits that appear in the table by their specific virtual card, status, auto-distribution, request type, and policy.

Reports

In both the Spend and Compliance tab, you can filter based on any number of attributes related to the expenses that you want to see incorporated in your resulting report.
