If you use NetSuite, Quickbooks Online, or Xero as your integrated ERP, you can set up your bill pay bills to sync to your accounting platform.
Utilize custom rules to further streamline categorization, decreasing manual efforts when closing the books. Custom rules can auto-code transactions with two or more similar expense fields, providing advanced automation capabilities.
We use accounting fields to capture additional expense details on your transactions prior to exporting to your ERP. You can control which fields your employees will see after submitting an expense. There are two types of accounting fields within Brex: ERP fields and custom fields.
When you have an ERP software integrated with your Brex account, you can export all of your team’s transactions from one platform to the other. This lets you account for all of your spend and makes it even easier to maintain your company’s books.
By creating custom fields and values within Brex, including GL account, department, class, vendor, and project, you can easily map transactions for import into your accounting system.
Brex uses a common set of standard categories that can easily be mapped to your GL accounting fields.
General Ledger accounts (GL accounts) are used in accounting to categorize and record financial transactions. They provide a structure for organizing your company's financial data and help in generating financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
You can prepare and export transactions as accruals instead of actuals, so they’ll be auto-reversed on a future date of your choice. Accounting teams typically book transactions that aren’t fully approved or not fully categorized as accruals, by the time they need to close their books.
Brex provides a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) server that you can use to export your codified transaction data via SFTP and safely retrieve it at any time.
