Tracking cash transfers
Overview
Depending on the method of transfer you use to send an outbound transfer of cash from your Brex business account, the time it takes the funds to settle will vary. You can track the transfer from your Brex dashboard while it processes.
ACH transfers
ACH transfers can be tracked via a 15-digit number referred to as a trace number. The trace number is issued by the sending institution, and can be provided to your receiving institution to track the impending transfer even before it has arrived in their system.
Outbound ACHs
In the dashboard Without checking, treasury, vault
Account admins can find the trace number for outbound ACHs in their Brex dashboard by following the steps below: Step 1: Go to Accounts > Business accounts > [Brex business account name] > Transactions. Step 2: Click on the specific ACH transfer to open the details window. Your trace number will be listed here.

Step 1: Go to Accounts > Brex business account > Checking account > Transactions. Alternatively, click All transactions under Accounts > Brex business account. Step 2: Click on the specific ACH transfer to open the details window for an outbound ACH from your Checking account. Your trace number will be listed here.
Note: It may take up to 1 full business day after initiating the transfer for this information to populate. If you have any trouble locating your trace number, please contact Brex support.
Inbound ACHs
You can reach out to the sender to request a trace number for an inbound ACH. Once you’ve obtained this, you can provide it to us for tracking purposes, if you like. This can be especially helpful if you notice your transfer is outside of standard processing time.

International wires
International wires step-by-step tracking details provide live updates from both Brex and the participating banks in the SWIFT network. International wires can also be tracked with a UETR (Unique End-to-End Transaction Reference), which is an identifier assigned to every international wire transfer. You can give a UETR to your beneficiary bank — which lets them see the payment’s status — by following the steps below.

Raw Wire Message
When you send an international wire, it will include a raw wire message, which specifies how the wire will be sent. Most often, this is an MT103 or PACS message, which are international wire-specific messages that you can provide to the receiving institution for tracking purposes. An account admin can find the raw wire message associated with any wire you’ve initiated from your Brex account by following the steps below. Note: This also applies to external bank accounts and Brex business accounts that you use for bill payments.
