Implementation at Brex
The Implementation team is focused on onboarding net-new and existing customers to Empower, ensuring they have a delightful experience. The Implementation team sits under the Operations umbrella and is responsible for providing customers with a unique and fresh experience as they transform their mundane expense management process into something more employee-focused and exciting. What you’ll do
As a manager of our Spend Conversion team at Brex, you will play a pivotal role in helping to build and design a team focused on spend migration from ACH/invoice to card. This team is focused on guiding our customers through the vendor migration process once they implement Brex for operational spend. This role focuses on ensuring a smooth transition for customers by analyzing vendor files, developing vendor migration plans, and negotiating favorable terms.
Where you’ll work
This role will be based in our Vancouver office. You must be willing to work in office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday, starting the week of January 6th, 2025. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers pre or post-deal to build value and develop detailed vendor migration plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Implementation, Product, and Support, to deliver a seamless customer experience
- Identify the top 25-50 vendors for migration based on customer priorities and operational needs
- Use Brex's proprietary vendor validation database to verify vendor acceptance of card payments and identify any additional fees, spend limits, or specific payment guidelines
- Create documentation for prospect/customer demonstrating potential ROI of migrating spend to card
- Contact vendors directly to negotiate favorable terms, especially when unique conditions, such as fees or limits, apply
- Facilitate vendor communication on behalf of customers, including obtaining endorsement letters for Brex to advocate directly with vendors
- Lead and conduct migration sessions with customers, guiding them through the transition of each vendor
- Celebrate key customer milestones throughout the migration process to enhance the customer experience
- Oversee the full vendor migration process, which often requires multiple sessions over a period of months, ensuring the successful transition of all identified vendors
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in customer success, account management, sales, or a related field, preferably in a SaaS environment
- 2+ years of experience in management or building out a new team/function
- Previous experience with supplier onboarding
- Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce
- Must be willing to work in office 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday
Bonus points
- Accounting and/or Finance background
- Financial fluency with a deep understanding of AP process
- Experience building and following vendor migration process
- Existing relationships with vendors and experience negotiating with them
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $160,000 CAD - $200,000 CAD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
