What you’ll do

Brex is on an exciting journey of growth, and we’re seeking a Workplace Experience Lead to help shape the future of our hybrid culture! In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Head of Workplace Experience to drive our office expansion, bringing our ambitious vision to life. You’ll also collaborate with our local office managers to ensure the office systems and processes are built to sustain a high-growth workspace.

Where you’ll work

This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in office at least 3 days per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, for a minimum of one week at a time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support office expansion projects, including overseeing renovations, office moves, or setting up new locations
  • Coordinate with landlords and property management for office expansions, maintenance, or compliance matters
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements with local and regional vendors
  • Create new and optimize current office policies, procedures, and systems for efficiency and scalability, working closely with our office managers for implementation
  • Collaborate with the Head of Workplace Experience to forecast facility needs and requirements
  • Help develop workplace standards
  • Work with team leads to manage our digital mail service 
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams: Leadership, IT/AV, People, Finance & Security
  • Compose and release company-wide communications for updated workplace procedures
  • Take on ad hoc projects, as needed

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in workplace experience or workplace operations, with a strong emphasis on creating and delivering improved employee experiences in a fast-paced office environment
  • Recent experience helping to expand and open new offices
  • Knowledge and experience running various workplace programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extraordinary organizational and time management skills 
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of personal initiative; responsible, reliable, and dependable with strong follow-through
  • Enthusiastic analytical and quantitative skills with shown experience in developing strategic solutions
  • High level of understanding of how change management works with companies in various industries
  • Financial analysis/budget leadership skills
  • A creative mind with the ability to suggest innovative ideas and improvements
  • Hospitality-oriented with exceptional customer service skills
  • Must be willing to work in office a minimum of 3 days per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This role may require some after hours and travel.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $103,960 - $129,950.  However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
